How Mercari fees work
Mercari keeps it simple:
- Selling fee: 10% of the item price, with a $1 minimum. Payment processing is included. Shipping and sales tax are not charged.
- No listing fees.
- Instant Pay: $2 to get your money right away. Direct deposit is free and takes a few days.
- Shipping: either the buyer pays, or you offer free shipping and the label cost comes out of your earnings.
Pricing tip
Free shipping helps items sell faster on Mercari, but the label comes out of your pocket. Switch "Who pays shipping" to see the difference.
Worked example
On a sale where you receive $30.00, Mercari fees come to $3.00 (10.0% of the sale). After $8.50 in product, shipping and packaging costs, you keep $18.50, a 62% margin. These are the calculator's starting numbers, so you can change any of them above.
| Line | Amount |
|---|---|
| You receive | $30.00 |
| Selling fee (10%, $1 minimum) | −$3.00 |
