Private by design: files are read on your device and never uploaded. Estimate, not tax advice.

Where do I download each file?
- eBay: Seller Hub > Payments > Reports > Transaction report. Pick the full year and all transaction types, then download CSV.
- Etsy: Shop Manager > Settings > Options > Download data, or Finances > Monthly statements. Monthly statement CSVs include fees, ads and labels. Import statements or orders, not both.
- Poshmark: Account > My Sales Report (download or email the report), then save it as CSV.
- Mercari: Profile > Reports > sales report for the year (CSV).
- Anything else: export a CSV and map the columns when asked.

How the reseller tax report works
- Export a CSV from each marketplace for the tax year.
- Drop the files in. The tool recognizes eBay, Etsy, Poshmark and Mercari by their columns, and asks you to map anything else.
- Add what the platforms do not know: cost of goods, inventory, supplies, mileage, home office and other expenses.
- Review the Schedule C style summary, platform breakdown, monthly chart and 1099-K check, then download the CSV or print a PDF for your tax preparer.
What counts as income for a reseller
- The full sale price of each item, not just the payout you received.
- Shipping charged to buyers (the label cost is then an expense).
- Refunds and returns reduce income as "returns and allowances".
- Sales tax collected and paid by the marketplace is not your income and is left out.
- Payouts and bank transfers are money movements, not extra income, so they are skipped.
What counts as an expense
- Cost of goods sold: what you paid for the items you sold.
- Commissions and fees: final value fees, transaction, listing and processing fees, Poshmark and Mercari selling fees.
- Advertising: eBay promoted listings, Etsy Ads and Offsite Ads.
- Shipping and postage: labels and shipping discounts you paid.
- Supplies: boxes, mailers, tape, labels, tags.
- Car and truck: sourcing and post office miles at the IRS standard rate.
- Other: phone and internet share, subscriptions, storage, home office (simplified $5 per sq ft, up to 300 sq ft).
FAQ
Is my sales data uploaded anywhere?
No. The CSV files are read and calculated inside your browser. Nothing is sent to FeeMath or anyone else. Your work is saved only in this browser, and you can download a backup file.
Which files do I need from eBay, Etsy, Poshmark and Mercari?
eBay: the Transaction report from Seller Hub, Payments, Reports. Etsy: your monthly statement CSVs from Shop Manager, Finances (or the Orders CSV, which has fewer fees). Poshmark: the sales report from My Sales Report. Mercari: the sales report from your profile Reports tab. Any other platform works through column mapping.
Do I owe tax if I do not get a 1099-K?
Yes, if you made a profit. For 2026 a platform sends Form 1099-K only above $20,000 and more than 200 transactions, but all business income is reportable even below that. Some states use lower thresholds.
What counts as cost of goods sold for a reseller?
What you paid for the items you sold, plus costs to get them ready for sale such as freight in. You can enter it per item, or use the inventory method: opening inventory plus purchases minus closing inventory.
Can I deduct mileage for sourcing trips?
Business driving such as sourcing, post office and supply runs can be deducted at the IRS standard mileage rate. For 2026 that is 72.5 cents per mile from January to June and 76 cents per mile from July to December. Keep a mileage log.
Is this report tax advice?
No. It is an estimate to organize your numbers for a tax professional or tax software. Confirm everything with a qualified tax preparer.
What does the free version include?
The full summary for up to 30 sales. Above that, totals are partly hidden until you unlock FeeMath Pro, which also enables the accountant CSV and the printable report.
Disclaimer: FeeMath is not a tax preparer, CPA or law firm, and this tool is not tax, legal or accounting advice. Tax rules, thresholds and rates change; IRS figures shown here were checked in October 2026. Use the results as a starting point and confirm them with a qualified professional.
